Ted Kennedy to be released from hospital

Doctors said Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy is expected to be released from a North Carolina Hospital later today. Kennedy underwent surgery last week to remove a malignant brain tumor.




The Senator was awake for the procedure and his doctor said the surgery was successful. Kennedy will head back home to continue the next step in his recovery, which will include chemotherapy and radiation.
The 76 year old was admitted to the hospital late last month after having two seizures. That's when doctors found the tumor.
